Description
“Becoming Gold”
Part of the “Where the Sky Begins” series
A meditation on transformation, peace, and quiet becoming
It is the moment before change — when the air feels still, yet charged with quiet promise.
Here, the chameleon reaches upward, drawn not in urgency but in trust. The light it seeks is not distant or divine; it lives in the soft shimmer of becoming itself.
Each shade of blue and green hums with calm persistence — a reminder that growth doesn’t roar; it glows. In its stillness, this creature teaches us that transformation begins not in reaching farther, but in opening to what’s already within reach.
Becoming Gold invites you to honor the gentle courage of evolution — the kind that unfolds slowly, tenderly, in its own time.
Key Themes:
• Transformation through peace
• Trust in timing
• Inner radiance
• The calm of becoming
Having this piece in your space is a quiet reminder that peace and progress can coexist — that sometimes, the most radiant thing we can do is simply allow ourselves to become.
Artist’s Reflection
When I began painting Becoming Gold, I was thinking about how growth often feels invisible while it’s happening — quiet, patient, almost imperceptible. The chameleon came to me as a symbol of that gentle evolution, the kind that doesn’t demand attention but simply trusts its own rhythm.
As I painted, I realized how often we reach for what we think is beyond us, when in truth, we’re already becoming it. The light in this piece isn’t something the chameleon finds — it’s something that unfolds from within, a reflection of peace meeting purpose.
For me, Becoming Gold is a reminder that transformation doesn’t always come through fire and force. Sometimes it’s soft. Sometimes it’s steady. Sometimes it’s simply choosing to stay open, even when we don’t yet see what we’re reaching for.
The glow you seek is already becoming you.
