About the Artist

Dàna Rùn

Born amid the quiet beauty of Switzerland’s countryside, Dàna Rùn grew up surrounded by open skies and wild places — a landscape that shaped her love of freedom and her fascination with the unseen. Recognized early for her creative spirit, she spent years exploring different forms of artistic expression before finding her truest voice in painting.
Her chosen name, Dàna Rùn — drawn from Gaelic and Old Norse roots — means “bold secret.” It speaks to the heart of her work: the courage to embrace the unknown, and the quiet mystery that lies beneath what we see.
After leaving a corporate career to fully devote herself to art, Dàna began creating pieces that explore the wildness of the soul and the strength found in authenticity. Through her paintings, she seeks to awaken something ancient and untamed — a reminder that courage and wonder live within us all.
“I want my artwork to wake your soul and set it on fire — to leave you feeling inspired, empowered, and alive.”
Today, she paints from her studio, surrounded by trees that change with the seasons, each day a conversation between shadow and light. Her work continues to explore themes of freedom, self-empowerment, and the rewilding of the spirit — a journey of daring, discovery, and quiet rebellion.

I hope my art makes you feel free

I want to inspire people through my art to want more for themselves. To stop living so small and to remember that they are incredibly powerful. They’ve been placed on this Earth, in this time for some reason, and I want my art to remind them of that.

So to you, reading this – please remember that you are more. There’s more to this life than simply existing. I hope my art makes you feel empowered, alive, see endless possibilities and to remember that you’re the only one in control, and to seize it back

My Core Values

I believe fiercely that we’ve gotten lost along the way, that we’ve strayed too far from what we’re meant to be, how we’re meant to live. We’re supposed to be close to nature, to animals, to the wisdom of the universe. That’s why we all have that yearning in our souls for the wild, the unknown, the untamed.
I believe down to my core that we are meant to be free, but that freedom shouldn’t be to anyone else’s expense, including animals. I want my art to quietly, but fiercely remind you, the viewer, of that.
I want my art to light that fire in your core, make you want to challenge the status quo and change things.
